Trainwreck in progress? Burning platform issues? Need new systems to roll out a new business plan? Or do you wish to upgrade and integrate your existing systems for cost savings and competitive advantage? This busy business and tax season we have a limited number of engagement slots available for consulting services projects.

Our system integration services have been our most popular and highest value added service for our clients for several years. So we are again offering our branded bundle of QuickBooks integration services this year. If you have a cloud based system, custom database module standing alone, or just a spreadsheet application that wants to be a database when it's all grown up, we have a proven QuickBooks integration solution for you.

We are also supporting the QuickBooks Mobile App and Go Payment Mobile App payment processing systems. These smart phone apps are some of the most practical and powerful business technology tools available for small businesses today.

Small Business Accounting & Payroll are also areas where we provide a full range of popular services, and we are again offering our specially packaged bundle of accounting and income tax preparation services this year at great values.

The IRS has released standard mileage rates for use in 2012 (Notice 2012-1). Taxpayers can use the optional standard mileage rates to calculate the deductible costs of operating an automobile. For business use of an automobile remains at 55½ cents per mile. For medical or moving expenses, it is 23 cents per mile (a half-cent decrease from the second half of 2011). For services to charitable organizations, the rate (which is set by statute) is 14 cents per mile. Rather than using the standard mileage rates, taxpayers may instead use their actual costs if they maintain adequate records and can substantiate their expenses. The rules for substantiating these amounts appear in Rev. Proc. 2010-51. For automobiles a taxpayer uses for business purposes, the portion of the business standard mileage rate treated as depreciation is 23 cents per mile for 2012 (it was 22 cents per mile for 2011).
